About the Artist
Hi! I'm Hailey Morgan, a visual artist based out of Anchorage, Alaska. Thank you for being here!
I work out of my in-home art studio primarily in watercolor and ink. I find inspiration in the bountiful Alaskan wilderness and my active imagination. I love making monsters and depicting wildlife. Themes of nurturing, nature, exploration, curiosity, and joy can be found throughout my bright and detailed work.
My core values as an artist, business owner, and individual are creativity, integrity, and joy.
Before I became a full-time artist- I lived in Bellingham, WA where I studied Environmental Science, with an emphasis in Marine Ecology. I met my husband in Bellingham who was born and raised in Anchorage. In 2014 we moved to Alaska to pursue degrees in teaching. I taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade over 6 years. Throughout all of this time, I had been slowly growing my art business with art shows, events, and galleries. Almost a year after our son was born, I left teaching to officially be an artist!
